Privacy Policy

Avalaunch Games is a one-person studio. We build small, offline-first apps and we try to collect as little information about you as possible. This policy covers every app published under Avalaunch Games - including Offline Game Box, The Hobbyist, Parlour Puzzles, and any future apps we ship under the same name.

The short version

• We don’t ask you to sign up, sign in, or hand over any personal information to play.
• Your saves, streaks, and level progress stay on your device. We do log anonymous gameplay events (which games are started and finished, levels reached) to understand how the app is used.
• If an app shows ads, the ad network may collect limited device data to serve them. You can turn this off in iOS Settings.
• If you make a purchase, Apple handles the transaction. We never see your payment details.
• If you email us, we’ll have your email until you ask us to delete it.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly

If you email hello@avalaunch.com or use an in-app “Send Feedback” option, we receive whatever you put in that message - typically your email address, your name if you sign off, and whatever bug report or suggestion you sent us. We use it to reply to you and to fix the thing you reported.

Information collected automatically

Our apps store your saved progress (current streak, best score, difficulty preference, saved games) on your device using Apple’s standard storage (UserDefaults / iCloud Key-Value Store). This data stays on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, may sync between your own devices through Apple’s service. We do not have access to it.

We also use Google Firebase Analytics to record anonymous gameplay events: which games are started and finished, which level or chapter is reached, and whether an ad was shown or interacted with. These events are not tied to your identity, your Apple ID, or any account you create elsewhere. We use them only to understand which features are used and to improve the app over time. You can opt out at the OS level under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers.

Advertising

Some of our apps display ads. When they do, we use Google AdMob to serve them. AdMob may collect limited information about your device (advertising identifier, device type, language, approximate location derived from IP) to serve relevant ads and prevent fraud. You can limit ad tracking at any time through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you purchase “Remove Ads” in an app, no ads load and no ad-related data is collected from that point on.

Purchases

All in-app purchases - one-time unlocks, ad removal, and any future subscriptions - are processed entirely through Apple’s App Store. Apple shares with us only whether a purchase succeeded and which product was purchased. We never see your credit card, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple’s own privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy covers the transaction itself.

Crash reports and diagnostics

Our apps include Google Firebase Crashlytics, which automatically sends us a crash report when the app crashes. These reports include the stack trace, device model, iOS version, and the time of the crash so we can find and fix bugs. They do not include personal information or anything that identifies you. Google’s privacy policy covers data collected through Crashlytics: policies.google.com/privacy.

Separately, if you opt in to share diagnostics with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may also send us anonymized crash reports through Apple’s own service. These reports contain no personal information.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your personal information. AdMob receives limited device data (advertising identifier, device type, approximate location derived from IP) to serve ads - you can disable this by limiting ad tracking in iOS Settings, or by buying Remove Ads.
• Beyond Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and AdMob as described above, we don’t run any other trackers.
• We don’t build profiles of you for our own use. AdMob may use your advertising identifier to deliver personalized ads unless you decline tracking in iOS.
• We don’t require accounts, social-network logins, or contacts access.

Children

Our apps are designed to be safe for all ages, but they aren’t directed specifically at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something through email or feedback, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

Your choices

• Limit ad tracking: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Remove ads entirely: use the in-app “Remove Ads” purchase.
• Delete saved progress: uninstall the app, or use iOS Settings to clear app data.
• Delete email correspondence: email us at hello@avalaunch.com and we’ll remove it from our records.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material - we add an analytics SDK, ship an app that handles new data types, anything along those lines - we’ll update this page and bump the “Last updated” date at the top. We won’t change the policy quietly.
